Our service teams work diligently to provide exceptional support, ensuring our customers are qualified and satisfied running their WENDT machinery. Our growing company seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician (FST) with a focus on Industrial Machinery Hydraulics to join our supportive team.

YOUR MISSION

As a Field Service Technician (FST) – Industrial Machinery Hydraulics, you will serve as a WENDT expert for our customers and play a pivotal role in our mission to provide outstanding installation, commissioning, and repair services. Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Install, Diagnose & Test: Travel to customer sites to install and commission new equipment, and conduct any testing required to meet and exceed performance standards.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Utilize the WENDT shop or travel to the customer to identify and correct issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Use your hands-on knowledge to help identify opportunities to enhance processes and equipment.
  • Customer Support: Provide direct technical support via calls, texts, and emails to clients and colleagues, ensuring their satisfaction is always your top priority.
  • Travel Opportunities: Enjoy traveling (at least 50%, but may exceed) to customer sites, both domestically and internationally.

ABOUT YOU

  • You hold a High School Diploma. An additional Advanced Vocational Degree is preferred.
  • With at least 3 years of experience in the industrial equipment industry, you excel at reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, and hydraulic & electrical schematics.
  • You have excellent experience in advanced hydraulics and/or electrical installation and repair that sets you apart.
  • You have a clean safety record and are diligent about keeping certifications current.
  • Hands-on experience traveling to perform services like rigging (advanced experience preferred), milling, and using large outdoor lifts, lathes, drill presses, and/or vertical/horizontal cut-off saws.
  • You possess strong problem-solving skills and excel in customer interactions.
  • Basic skills in MS Office Suite, advanced skills in PC OS/admin installing and repairing networks.
  • A team-oriented mindset and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role.
  • You’re comfortable with travel requirements that may exceed 50% of your time and are ready to tackle challenges both domestically and internationally.
