WENDT CORPORATION is seeking a full-time Graphic Designer/Social Media Specialist to support our marketing and sales team. Work alongside our team of talented sales engineers and marketing professionals to develop creative print, signage and web projects and successfully create compelling and effective messaging for social media. A successful candidate will have a good eye for design, strong sense of initiative, be team-oriented and proficient in the latest Adobe Creative Suite.
• Develops concepts, design and layouts for digital and print projects
• Collaborate with marketing team on creative concepts
• Translate project requirements into pleasing design solutions in line with corporate and product branding and design requirements
• Design and develop client facing presentation materials, advertisements and sales collateral
• Develop content (written, photography, video, etc.) to activate across all social media and digital channels
• Manage day-to-day social media activities including planning and managing an editorial calendar, creating content to support daily posts and responding to consumer inquiries on all our Social Networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
• Ensure on brand continuity in visual messaging across all digital channels.
• Design, create and support email marketing campaigns
• Perform retouching and manipulation of images
• Assist in website design and maintenance
• Collaborate with the sales staff to actively monitor and maintain sales opportunities
• Assist with our company’s Salesforce database including continuous updates on Sales opportunities and activity
• Generate sales reports from Salesforce.
• Coordinate travel plans and agenda’s for customer meetings and sales events including the annual industry trade show
• Assist in the execution of marketing initiatives and the preparation and organization of promotional material or events

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Excellent knowledge of LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media standard methodologies
• Strong and effective social media copywriting skills
• Familiarity with social media monitoring and reporting tools
• Experience executing and reporting on social media campaigns
• Familiarity with content management systems, preferably WordPress
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint/Word/Excel
• Familiarity with customer relationship management systems (CRM). Salesforce preferred
• Ability to design materials by converting verbal requests into visual designs
• Creative, forward-thinking, with a solid understanding of design concepts

• Design and implement plant and facilities engineering activities/projects ensuring that budgets, schedules, and objectives are achieved.
• Develop accurate work estimates.
• Create work orders and engineering masters.
• Create CAM programs.
• Work closely with the Shop Supervisors to identify, develop, and produce work instructions for standard work that will increase efficiency in the shop.
• Consult with Design Engineering during product development to define manufacturing processes to achieve goals.
• Work closely with Supply Chain staff to prepare work for outsourcing to ensure cost and quality goals are met.
• Identify, define, and execute Kaizen events on a regular basis both in the Office and the Shop.
• Generate cost estimates to support Sales and Service groups.
• Collaborate and cooperate at a high level with shop personnel, supply chain, engineering, project management, and all other areas of the company.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential improvements.
• Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness and provide feedback along with suggested corrective actions to the Shop Supervisors and Management.
• Travel to Supplier sites as needed to ensure quality and performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Education and Experience:
• B.S. degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or equivalent education, preferred
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineer-to-order and/or an OEM environment in a similar role.
• CLP and/or any other advanced Lean certification preferred.
• Completion of the Six Sigma training preferred.
• Experience in a heavy metal fabrication environment preferred.
• Experience with using CNC equipment and Autodesk Inventor preferred.

• Utilize mastery of solid modeling skills to design, assemble, engineer, and detail models.
• Work with Project Management to ensure products are released and available in a timely matter to meet project schedule.
• Provide engineering and create technical documentation necessary to satisfy project requirements, as directed by the Project Manager or Engineering Manager
• Provide technical support to the manufacturing team and foster an environment that encourages suggestions and product improvements from the manufacturing team.
• Employ Design for Manufacturing (DFM) rules to achieve maximum cost benefit to produce parts and assemblies.
• Leverage commonality and library components to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Effectively support and strengthen the company’s positive brand image in both written and verbal communications with clients, colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
• Demonstrate a passion for continuous improvement with a strong desire to eliminate waste and non-value-added processes using Lean principles.
• Light travel, both domestically and internationally.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar curriculum or equivalent work experience is required.
• 3-5 years project/design engineering experience preferred
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or equivalent solid modeling software.
• Highly skilled in solid and parametric modeling, as well as solid modeling data management.
• Knowledge in structural software RISA and Tekla preferred.
• FEA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes; welding, steel fabrication, plate cutting, and machining.
• Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in any kind process equipment design preferred. Such as; mining, aggregate, agriculture, or similar.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

• Consistently analyze Department’s overall value proposition to ensure maximum productivity is being obtained from all resources.
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager to identify and define department strategy and goals to support the continuous improvement of the Engineering Department.
• Utilize mastery of structural steel design software to design and detail structures to fulfill customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external engineers as needed to validate design meet codes and standards.
• Responsible to work with manufacturing department and sub-contractors to ensure design intent is understood and quality is met.
• Work with Project Management to ensure products are released and available in a timely matter to meet schedule.
• Able to both create designs from scratch as well as repurpose existing design concepts into new ones.
• Employ Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices to achieve maximum cost benefit to produce parts and assemblies.
• Leverage commonality and library components to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Travel to Supplier, Partner, and Customer sites as needed to ensure quality and performance.

Education and Experience:
• B.S. degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 or more years of progressive experience in a related role.
