Water Injection System

The Water Injection System option helps to suppress dust, smoke, and fire in the shredder mill and surrounding area and reduces the formation of an explosive atmosphere within the shredding chamber thereby minimizing the possibility of a gas tank explosion.

Features:

• Computer controlled touch screen for the shredder operator
• Effectively controls dust in the area of the shredder infeed and discharge openings
• Condenses the hydrocarbons (oil smoke) onto the water particles which precipitate out, thereby greatly reducing smoke emissions
• Permits the shredder mill to be "flooded" with water in case of fire with twin 10HP water pumps
• Consumes between 2-8 gallons of water per shredded ton of ferrous scrap produced
