Wendt Corporation announces sales
of world's largest Shredders

The shredder success story continues for Wendt Corporation (Tonawanda, NY) as the company recently announced sales of the first two 130 HEAVY™ shredders from their newly introduced HEAVY™ line.

Camden Iron & Metal and Sturgis Iron & Metal both purchased a 130 HEAVY ™ shredder - the largest mill available offering the greatest throughput capabilities found in the industry. Both companies selected a 130 HEAVY™ shredder with an 8,000 HP motor, a 4 arm spider rotor and downstream solutions featuring two (2) Magnet Stands w/2 60x96 Axial Pole Mags, two (2) 72" wide Z-Box air systems w/70,000 CFM, four (4) picking conveyors and two (2) radial stacking conveyors.

The 130 HEAVY™ is the world's largest shredder. It is available with 6,000 - 10,000 HP, is capable of processing 300 Ferrous TPH (with surges of 400 TPH) and provides more than three times the striking force of a typical 98x104 shredder. In fact, the 130 HEAVY ™ shredder features a 130" hammer swing and 1,255 pound hammers creating the hardest hitting hammers of any automobile shredder.

The HEAVY™ shredder line creates a new sizing standard within the industry based on the ideal relationship between Hammer Size and available motor RPM. The new sizes are 82, 106 and 130 which represents the hammer swing diameter. All HEAVY ™ shredders measure 115 inches wide inside the shredder walls and have a free flowing 97 inches of working width inside both the Feed Chute and Hammer Swing. It features heavier construction, fully beveled welds and interlocking fabrication.
