Wendt introduces Heavy Shredder line
Wendt Corporation (Tonawanda, NY) recently introduced the next generation of automobile shredders. The new HEAVY Shredder equipment includes the 82 HEAVY, 106 HEAVY, and the largest shredder a 130 HEAVY.
Wendt has long believed that customers are their greatest asset and can serve as an invaluable source for information. The solutions offered by Wendt are a direct result of continual collaboration with customers. The design concept for these new models began with a commitment to incorporating the latest technologies along with the features most requested by clients. Through the use of Autocad Inventor®, the engineering solutions team can create a conceptual product design then actually "see" the shredder in action before it is ever built and thereby provide the best engineered solutions within the industry.
The 82, 106 and 130 HEAVY Shredder line creates a new sizing standard within the industry based on the ideal relationship between Hammer Size and available motor RPM. All three HEAVY shredders measure 115 inches wide inside the shredder walls and have a free flowing 97 inches of working width inside both the Feed Chute and Hammer Swing and feature more robust construction, fully beveled welds and interlocking fabrication.
The focal point of this new line is the uniquely designed, state of the art, 4 arm Spider Rotor. The Spider Rotor features free swinging 5 ½" wide hammers, fully capped spiders and end discs to protect the rotor from wear and utilizes 2 pin position hammers with lay-back and free swinging or optional all free swinging design. Customers consistently exceed 1.5 million tons of shredded ferrous on 120" spider rotors.
Wendt manufactures the HEAVY Shredder line at their facility located in Tonawanda, NY.
