Heavy media separation is no longer a requirement. Aluminum can now be individually X-tracted enabling Shredder Operators to sell Aluminum directly to the secondary marketplace.

The X-tract separator utilizes x-ray technology to measure the atomic density of particles and air ejection for separation. The 48" wide separator is ideally suited to upgrade your ECS Zorba product online from up to four ECS Separators (up to
10TPH). The X-tract separator has been certified to the
highest level of safety.

• X-rays emissions are similar to those by
  a Television.
  
• The X-ray source is a tube and only emits x-ray when “switched on.” If there is no power, there is no x-ray.

The X-tract Separator is able to identify irony aluminum. The finished Aluminum product can be selected to either include or exclude the irony aluminum.

A tremendous companion machine to the X-tract Separator, the CombiSense can be used to separate Heavies into Copper, Brass and the remainder. Other applications include the sorting of particles as small as 1mm such as found in wire choppings or precious metals from electronic scrap.

The CombiSense includes both a high speed camera for color detection as well as the electromagnetic sensors. The combination
of characteristics of color and conductivity permit very precise particle identification and sorting.
